The name “Tar Devils” dates back to 2021, the year of our foundation, when a group of avid soccer players from the triangle area primarily from UNC and Duke, led by Club Founder and Owner Alessandro Racioppi, decided to form the sporting club. The root of the name chosen by Alessandro exemplifies the values of Tar Devils, where historical sports rivals from the area combine together to be a stronger unit!
